Sandstone Gallery is proud to announce its July and August guest artist’s solo show in the center of the gallery’s Skylight Room. Kristen comes to us from San Diego, CA. Presently, she is the resident artist at Bernardo Winery where her studio is located and she is a Mentoring Artist and the Director of Education at Art on 30th in the North Park District. Kristen is a landscape lover pulling inspiration from her favorite vacation destinations while translating the feeling of these places into marks, color, and texture that result in dramatic shapes, lines, and visual tension. She refers to her photos then deconstructs the image in an abstract way to capture the mood of a place in time. There will be two artist openings, July 11 and August 1 during the Laguna Art walk from 6-9 P.M. You are all invited to meet Kristen and see her refreshing summer designs!
