Susie Sprinkel Hudson

I am a textile artist who creates art works with fabric and thread by means of using a sewing machine as my ‘paint brush’.
In each of my art works, the small pieces of fabric represent the seasons of our lives, with brightness, color, and texture woven into all of these moments, blended together into one tapestry.
We ourselves come in different sizes, shapes and colors. I tie all of these elements together by means of a free-motion style of sewing, bringing it together into one expression of art. Up close you can see all of the differences. But when you to step back to view it from farther away, the differences begin to disappear, and it all comes to together into one tapestry.
