Dave McEwen is a representational artist who resides in Orange County, California. He focuses on landscapes, seascapes and animal portraits. The Orange County area is rich in potential subjects to paint with its stunning ocean views and inland wilderness areas.
Dave was born in Greeley, Colorado, but was raised in Ontario, California. Dave spent 40 years as a public law attorney. After his retirement, he enrolled in a local beginning acrylic painting class. “From that point on, I was hooked” says Dave. He tries to paint every day, unless he is playing golf or traveling, his other passions.
Following their first beginners’ class, he has consulted numerous books, DVD’s and on-line videos. He has also participated in workshops/classes with John Cosby, Rick Delanty, Brian Blood, Mark Kerckhoff, Jim McVicker, Michael Obermeyer, Anthony Salvo, Debra Huse and others.
