Painting - Oil
Born and raised in Southern California, Jennifer Beaudet has always been largely influenced by the ocean. With a great love of nature and the beauty in simple things, her art reflects her emotions and expresses her feelings about the subject. Jenn makes it her goal, as an artist, to bring beauty to the homes of her collectors. She has always been an artist; attending college and earning a degree in studio art, she put my dreams on hold to raise her beautiful daughter, as a single mother.
Through the years, Jennifer has been creative and sold her art in different forms. She started with watercolors then painting on furniture pieces, which were sold to a local designer store in Redondo Beach, CA. She also painted beautiful address tiles and sold them on eBay and a local fair in Weaverville, CA.
Beaudet says, "I knew as soon as I could put some time into my art career that I needed to pursue my lifelong passion as an artist. I started painting with oils in 2009, when I was given a set of oil paints that my mother didn’t want anymore. I fell in love with the rich and juicy colors that only oils can offer. Their luster and buttery texture keep me exploring and creating new pieces while discovering myself along the way."
She uses both a brush, palette knife, and her fingers to get the paint down to achieve the look she's after. These tools create the beautiful textures she's after. Each piece to possesses harmony and excitement like a beautifully composed piece of music. Jennifer's subject matter varies from local California landscapes, to wedding inspired women in beautiful gowns, a beautiful tree, and endless inspiration from her passion for flowers. Early in life she worked as a floral designer, where she discovered new varieties of flowers and plants.
Jennifer says, "Each piece possesses a little bit my soul, and I like to leave the final interpretation up to the viewer, so that they can develop their own personal connection to it."
Jenn's work is collected worldwide from Switzerland, Paris, Australia, to Japan, Canada, and all over America.
