Pet portrait in acrylic on canvas
I’ve always been obsessed with art and artists. I grew up in such a beautiful place - The Bahamas, where I spent time as a child drawing the beach, fish, hibiscus and palm trees for my family. It’s hard not to be inspired in that landscape.
As a ‘tween’, I moved to London, where suddenly the vast world of European art was both taught to me in school and easily accessible in the vast number of London galleries I could visit whenever I wanted. What a privilege for a budding artist! I still maintain there is nothing in the world that compares to seeing original art in person.
Now I’m here in California, where the blues of the sky and the ocean dominate my senses. In California, I started painting big skies and abstract style landscapes as well as customized pet portraits which most of my clients give as gifts.
