I am a street photographer always on the hunt for unique, ironic images. I love to travel because it gives me a whole new stage to hunt for new images of people, places, and things.
I love to discover interesting lighting situations that provide an image with a whole new perspective.
I feel like a hunter, always searching for random images, lighting, and compositions so the viewer can see things in a completely different way.
I've been taking photographs since I was 7 years old when I received my first 120 film camera.
I received a BFA in Photography, Summa cum Laude, from the University of Minnesota, followed by a Master of Science degree from the Minnesota University - Mankato.
I have exhibited my work in various places around the world, including New York, Amsterdam, Paris, Turkey, and Spain.
I've been involved in programs working with school age children, teaching photography in after school programs, and received a Mayoral Proclamation for my work with SMARTS, teaching the education standards through art.
Currently I'm working on a project with the Ojibwe Native Americans, recording stories of the elders and creating an archive for the American Indian Movement, and the White Earth Reservation.
