Landscape painting in oil and acrylics
Rick is a national award-winning painter, having received Best of show and top prizes in plein air competitions across the west, and juried annual exhibitions sponsored by a variety of arts societies and organizations. He has been selected for the Laguna Beach Invitational for ten consecutive years. He has served as a juror and demonstrator, a curator for the LPAPA Signature Members exhibition at a Southern California gallery,and writes articles for the Oil Painters of America. Articles featuring his work have been published in Plein Air Magazine, American Artist, and Southwest Art Magazine. His paintings are included in books published by the Irvine Museum, The Indispensible Guide to Painting in Acrylics, and the recently-published Painting California, Seascapes and Beach Towns. The Irvine Museum in California and the Coutts Museum in Kansas have acquired Delanty originals for their permanent collections.
