Katherine Mead is a native Californian now living in Oregon. She is returning to Southern CA for her exhibition at Sandstone Gallery in Laguna Beach.

Her mixed media work is the result of an ongoing experimentation merging collage and painting. She remains constantly intrigued by the juxtaposition of fine arts and crafts. By employing craft materials and techniques in an elevated and thoughtful manner, Mead creates compositions that are modern and fresh using materials that are familiar and timeworn.

Join her at the opening reception on February 1 during the Laguna Beach Art Walk from 6-9 p.m. Sandstone Gallery is across the street from the Laguna Art Museum near the corner of Jasmine St. Refreshments served.
